Vijay is donning the role of an encounter specialist in the film Thuppakki directed by A R Murugadoss. The first schedule of shooting took place in Mumbai for 40 days.
Major portion of the story happens in Mumbai. A sequence where Vijay in the police uniform comes to see his bride Kajal Agarwal was shot recently. The shooting of this film has been temporarily stalled because of the problems between the Producers Council and FEFSI. Vijay is now shaping his physique to suit his role in Thuppakki.
